North Australian Aboriginal Family Violence Legal Service - Darwin, Northern Territory

About this Public Assistance Legal Service (PALS):

The North Australian Aboriginal Family Violence Legal Service (NAAFVLS) head office is based in Casuarina and provides an outreach visiting service to the Indigenous communities in the Northern Territory through its units in Casuarina and Katherine. Communities include: Wadeye, Kunbarllanjnja and Jabiru, Angurugu, Nhulunbuy, Yirrkala, Ski Beach, Nguiu, Milikapiti,Pirlangimpi.

This Legal Assistance Service provides a focus on the provision of legal advice, community legal education, referrals and advocacy. The primary focus of the organisation is to provide assistance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander adults and children who are victims of family violence, including sexual abuse, in a professional and culturally appropriate manner.
